This subject provides you with a rigorous overview of harmonisation of domestic crimes and criminal procedures as well as international crimes and criminal procedures. The particular focus on harmonised crimes, such as terrorism and related proceedings, encourages critical analysis of a range of international criminal law concepts and principles. You will also develop your understanding of specific supranational crimes, such as crimes against humanity, aggression, war crimes and related proceedings, as well as consider the fundamentals of the international law of war.

International Criminal Law

Using the life cycle of a company, the operation of the Australian corporate regulatory framework is illustrated. Thus this subject examines: company registration; corporate governance issues arising from the company&#39;s daily operations, and the external administration of a company on its insolvency. Prerequisite: AFE215: Introduction to Business Law. Students should not enrol in this subject if they have previously completed 2106AFE: Company Law at Griffith University.

This subject provides students with an overview of the Australian legal system as it pertains to commerce and management. It also provides detailed knowledge in the area of contract law and a knowledge of the law as it applies to torts, particularly professional negligence and to partnership.
